How We Work...

Quotes / Estimates

Fax over the basic layout with all the information (name of granite or engineered stone, measurements, cook tops & sinks, height of backsplash, number of outlet cutouts, and edge detail) and you will receive a quote in less than 12 hours.

Placing the order ‐ Template

Fax over the signed layout and purchase order with all the other information (name of customer, address, and telephone number). We will call the customer to set up a template date, unless we are instructed otherwise on writing how to proceed. We usually require 48 hours lead time for template. A job site is considered ready for template when:

  1. Existing counter, plumbing, etc are removed from base cabinets or new base cabinets are set, including end panels or anything else the stone will abut.
  2. All necessary appliances including cook top, down draft, stove, sinks, faucets, soap dispensers, dishwashers, or any other pertinent items are on site. Any item that requires a cut into the stone will be taken at the time of template and will be returned at the time of install.
  3. A responsible adult must be on site for the template. All aspects of the template, including location of faucet holes, approximate seam location, and over hangs will be reviewed with the customer.
  4. Even though a customer is consulted regards to seam location, the fabricator reserves the right to adjust if needed.

Viewing slabs

Please call us to set up an appointment for your customer to visit our showroom to view the slabs. Granite and marble are products of nature. No two pieces will ever be the same. Each will have it is own unique color, marking and texture. Granite is an extremely durable work surface. It is impervious to heat and highly scratch resistant. However it is not scratch proof and care be exercised in use and cleaning. Being a natural material, stone is somewhat porous and staining is possible under unusual circumstances.

If we don't have the material in stock, we will locate them at one of our distributor and instruct your customer to view in there. Our policy and our suppliers are to hold the slab for two weeks. Customers who don't want to view the slabs are required to sign a waiver.

Installation

We need a 5 - 10 business day turn-around time between the template and installation. We will install (attach) the sink to the stone.

Maintenance Guidelines

We suggest a mild clean up, such as Stone Wash Neutral Cleaner. Never use an abrasive cleaner that contains pumice. Never use strong ammonia or bleach. Use a stone polisher such as Stone Gloss Polish. We recommend using impregnator sealer made for granite at least once a year. Home Depot carries Surface Guard Penetrating Sealer, the most advanced stain barrier available. Granite is naturally porous material. If moisture penetrates, it will evaporate. Wiping up spills promptly will help prevent any staining. Also having the stone sealed will minimize any problems. If your stone should stain, Home Depot carries any easy to use poultice powder called Stain Remover.
